Lee Trevino, Julius Boros and Frank Beard on Shell's Wonderful World of Golf
Santa Comes to Minnesota to play golf in December

Some of these are funnier than others, but it’s good to see today’s players showing some personality.

Another in the “Adventures in Golf” series. These are so good, I’m going to post one more.

Adventures in Golf Episode #1: A 12-minute light-hearted visit to St. Andrews - The town, the Old Course.

Another in the Adventures in Golf series. This one is about a very unusual 9-hole course in New York Mills, Minnesota.

23-year-old Jack Nicklaus battles 50 year-old Sam Snead at Pebble Beach. It is re-mastered in vivid HD color and hasn’t been seen since it aired in 1963. (Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf)

7 years ago, my wife and I had a chance encounter with a golf course unlike any I’d ever seen. This week I stumbled across this video about that course and the people who built it and play it. Watch the video and read about our experience here. This is “Rez Golf” at its best.

UNEVEN FAIRWAYS is an important and well-done documentary about the history of racism on the PGA Tour. Did you know about the “Caucasian Clause” that was still in effect into the 1960s?

Top 10 Best U.S. President Golfers (produced during the Obama administration, so it may no longer be completely accurate.)

Before every round Tiger Woods plays on the PGA TOUR, he goes through an extensive warm up routine. Here’s how he prepares for competition.

On the week of his 80th birthday, all-time golfing great Gary Player showed the Butch Harmon School of Golf's Claudine Foong the secrets to a workout routine.

Bobby Jones gives James Cagney and friends a lesson in how to practice.

History of the Masters

Watch the complete final round broadcast of the 1974 Masters. Gary Player wins his second Tournament by one stroke over Dave Stockton and Tom Weiskopf. (Announcer team includes Ray Scott, Pat Summerall, Jack Whitaker and Henry Longhurst!)

WARNING: Don’t watch this if you’re not in the mood for 18 solid minutes of some of the most amazing and memorable Masters moments. (But I just watch it twice.)

In honor of Masters week, here’s a recap of the 1986 Masters Tournament.

Here’s another “Craig Show” episode. This one is NOT about Francia A. Gross, but about Keller, a course many of us know and love. It was shot during the remodel tells us a lot about golf course construction as well as Keller’s history.

“The Craig Show” was a series of short videos made by some local guys about 10 years ago. In this episode, Craig (overuses) “slopey, not hilly” to describe our own Gross Golf Course.

Jean van de Velde’s collapse in the 1999 British Open is unforgettable. The star of this 14-minute video of the 18th hole is announcer Peter Alliss. (my favorite quote: “His golfing brain stopped about 10 minutes ago, I think.”)

Shell's Wonderful World of Golf, Peter Alliss vs Tony Lema, Mid Ocean Club, Bermuda (aired in 1967, but filmed just before Champagne Tony’s tragic death in July of ‘66). SEE STEVE LARSON’S MEMBER PROFILE STORY ABOUT MEETING TONY LEMA HERE.

The complete final round broadcast of the 1975 Masters. Jack Nicklaus wins his fifth Masters by one stroke over Johnny Miller and Tom Weiskopf. What a tournament!

The Golf Specialist, starring W.C. Fields, 1930 (a 20-min. short film, uncensored (there’s a mouthing of "f**k you.") It doesn’t get around to golf until almost 8 minutes in, but the beginning is still worth it.

http://www.jeffwortman.com A collection of one liners I've heard on the golf course after many years of research. Have I missed any?? That's more than a slic...
