We will be conducting the annual registration process directly on Golf Genius (GG) this year for those of you who will be returning to the club (hopefully that is everyone).
The process of the annual registration will be similar to what it was like as you registered for events individually last season. Click on the link here to access the Golf Genius site.
The annual dues which cover the cost of your MGA handicap, and other club expenses are similar as in the past (although the GG fee is $5 less than last year) and will include the card processing fees.
20 years old and younger = $20 +$35 GG Premium
21-40 years old = $ your age + $35 GG Premium
41-69 years old = $80 + $35 GG Premium
70 years and older = $60 + $35 GG Premium
If you are a new member there is a $15 discount off your annual dues
You will be asked to indicate if you have an interest in any of the teams (12-Man, Senior-8, or Metro Seniors) that is no cost and involves competing against other clubs (both home and away). The last step will be paying online for your annual dues that's very similar to what you experienced paying for events last year.
A separate email will be sent in April when we ask you to register and pay for the Season-long Individual and Team Match Play tournaments that begin in late May/early June. I would encourage you to start talking to your golf partners to confirm who you will be teaming up with. If you will need a partner, you will indicate that when you register and I will help find you a partner.
The link to the registration page of Golf Genius can also be found on the our grossmensclub.com website under the membership tab, while the season schedule under the events tab. I also included on the schedule the U of MN Men's events side by side with ours as I tried to alternate dates so guys can play in both if they want. Note we tentatively have a membership meeting planned for Saturday, April 6th from 10 AM - 12 PM/Noon at a location to be determined -- to answer any questions you may have or help assist you to register for the season.
We have heard the golf course is planning to open soon, although the precise day is dependent on our weather. If you have not already, I would recommend that you subscribe to the Minneapolis Park Board Email Updates by clicking on this link. That will be the most effective way for you to be alerted when the course opens for the season, if carts will be allowed early on, etc.

What is the purpose of the Gross Men’s Club?
The purpose of the Gross Men’s club is to organize an affordable public golf membership with the express purpose of providing a forum of competitive golf and fellowship for the exclusive benefit of its members.
Where do the members play?
We play at the Francis A. Gross Golf Course at 2201 St. Anthony Boulevard within minutes of downtown St Paul and Minneapolis. Gross is one of five public golf courses in the Minneapolis Park Board system and is considered one of the finest.
What is the cost to play in each monthly event?
Since we are a public golf course, we always pay our own green and cart fees and also pay the individual event fee of $20 - $35, depending on the event. These fees are collected by the Men’s club and then paid out to the various flight winners of the event in cash. Lunch is included after your round in some events. Events are scheduled on Saturday or Sunday Morning with preferred early morning tee times for our members. This is part of your membership benefit.
